The club has made yet another front office hiring. Sarah Kate Noftsinger, the commissioner of Elite Clubs National League (ENCL), will be joining Atlanta United at the end of this month. ENCL is a non-profit organization "to enhance the developmental experience of the female youth soccer players in the United States."
The club has not yet released any details on what role Noftsinger will take. "In the 5 years she has been for the League, Sarah Kate has done a remarkable job of helping us accomplish our mission of 'raising the game' and making elite youth female soccer in the United States better," ENCL President Christian Lavers commented.
We can only speculate on the role she will fill for Atlanta United. Perhaps her knowledge of women's soccer could mean Atlanta United is considering building a women's team. Another possibility is the Director of Marketing and Fan Engagement, which was posted on the Atlanta United job listings page some months ago. The Director would in control of executing the brand strategy and implementing a consistent brand across all applications. At this point, however, we have no idea what position she will take so don't get excited about a women's team yet.
According to a press release, she will begin working for the club on November 30th so surely we will have more details by then. Stay tuned for updates.
