Earlier today we brought you news of Atlanta United's newest front office hire. Sarah Kate Noftsinger, the commissioner of Elite Clubs National League (ENCL), will be joining Atlanta United at the end of this month. However, it was not publicly known what her role at the club would be.

DSS spoke with Atlanta United in regard to Sarah Kate's role with club and were provided with the info that she will assume the the role of Director of Marketing & Fan Engagement. This position involves being in control of executing the brand strategy and implementing a consistent brand across all applications.

"Sarah Kate has an extensive background in soccer as both a player and coach," Ann Rodriguez, Atlanta United VP of Business Operations, said to DSS.

"She brings with her an entrepreneurial spirit, an understanding of the fans and solid experience in marketing and the business of soccer. We're excited to welcome her to our team."

A team spokesperson told DSS the franchise is not in talks to pursue a NWSL team in the near future, reiterating the hire is unrelated.

"Right now our focus is on our core business of Major League Soccer but we'll certainly support the women's game when opportunities present themselves." the spokesperson added.
