On Monday, Orlando City SC finalized a deal with Toronto FC for goalkeeper Joe Bendik in exchange for a conditional fourth round pick in the 2017 SuperDraft.
Bendik made 14 appearances for Toronto FC this season and notched one clean sheet. He has made appearances for the United States National Team at the U17 and U20 age groups. Orlando's newest goalkeeper played for Clemson University before beginning his professional career with Norwegian club, Sogndal, then later playing for Portland Timbers.
After Orlando's starting goalkeeper this past season, Tally Hall, declined to extend his contract, Bendik will have an opportunity to earn a primary role again as he was overtaken by Chris Konopka at Toronto FC. However he will have to compete with Earl Edwards Jr. who was drafted by Orlando City earlier this year.

We wish all the best to Joe with his new team in Orlando.
