Georgia United vs Concorde Fire

The Georgia United and Concorde Fire U-14s met for a Development Academy match at Georgia Soccer Park on December 19th. Georgia came away with a 4-1 win. Brian Alcantar, Daniel Mangarov, Remi Smith, and John Torres scored for United. Felix Villal scored the lone goal for Concorde.

Olympic Development Program

Three Georgia players were named to the U.S Youth Soccer ODP All-Star team for the 2000 age group that ran from December 17 through the 20th at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. Alessandro Castro (Lilburn, Georgia) from GSA Premier and Raul and Saul Tinoco (Doraville, Georgia) from United FA were honored. The Winter Interregional featured 75 players selected from state and regional level camps.

The team from Region III (featuring Georgia players) finished in a tie for first place with a 2-1 record, dropping their opening match to Region I (3-1) and beating Regions II and IV (2-1, 3-2).
