If you've paid attention to soccer news in the last six months you should be aware of the corruption scandal that has rocked FIFA to it's very core. What you may have missed, however, was how close to home this scandal has spread.
If you live in the Stone Mountain, Loganville or Conyers areas, you may have even driven by houses linked to the FIFA scandal and the latest indictment charges against former CONCACAF president, Jeffery Webb.

According to the Criminal Forfeiture Allegation document, three Georgia residences, 2116 Adel Drive in Loganville, 5119 Madeline Place in Stone Mountain and 104 Ellis Drive in Conyers were directly or indirectly involved in racketeering activities connected with the disgraced FIFA Vice President. Webb allegedly received a wire transfer to fund a new pool at his Loganville home in 2012. He was also allegedly wired enough money to purchase the home in Stone Mountain. A number of additional properties in Florida are also listed in the legal document.
The 2116 Adel Drive is a single-family residence with six bedrooms and eight bathrooms and is owned by Webb and his wife. At 9,851 square feet, the mansion has an enormous backyard including a swimming pool built with money funneled from international bank accounts and front companies. The home is "Zestimated" at just over $1 million by Zillow.com and was just one of several homes that Webb purchased on the same road over a five year period.
The Stone Mountain and Conyers residences are much more modest. Both are three bedroom, 2.5 baths and are estimated between $105,000 and $110,000, but were purchased at $60,000 and $64,000 in 2013.
It's not every day you realize an international organization like FIFA may have been conducting its' corrupt business in your backyard. It just goes to show you how widespread FIFA's corruption around the globe has been and how impossibly hard it will be to cleanse before the new President is elected in February.
