Way back in 1995 when I was just a wee SoundbyLaura, I did live sound for a singer at a bar in New Orleans. It was one of the first paid sound gigs I ever had. Looking back on it now, I was a terrible live sound engineer, and was so lucky to get to work such a fun gig with a truly great singer and person. I was with her the night she found out her father died. She went on that night and did 2+ hours non-stop. It was amazing and moving and I'll never forget it.
Mary Griffin is an incredible singer. You can check out my fav video of her here, signing with Patti LaBelle:
Her son was injured in a charity exhibition martial arts fight and she has set up a GoFundMe to help cover the costs of a surgery he needs.

If you can donate, please do. If nothing else please tweet/share it so the signal gets boosted.
Thank you.
