WATCH: Chris McCann scores first goal on loan at Coventry City

Back from injury and off the mark!

It’s been a rather disappointing loan move for Chris McCann at Coventry City thus far. Not for him as an individual per se, but the team itself is off to a horrendous start to the season and McCann has dealt with some injury woes as of late.

However, all that negativity was thrown out the window on Saturday as McCann returned to the starting lineup for the Sky Blues and led them to a 2-0 win over Port Vale, notching his first goal of the season in the process.

Here’s as look at the goal:

After a teammate played him in on goal, McCann wound up and lashed a great left-footed shot up high and past the Port Vale goalkeeper for a great finish.

By our account, this is the midfielder’s 36th career goal. He scored 27 in his 9-year Burnley stint and 8 while at Wigan.

It’s great to see him back in the starting lineup and even better to see him on the scoresheet. We can’t wait to see him doing that in the Benz soon.
