It’s finally here. The first big step towards the MLS offseason and Atlanta United continuing to build their inaugural roster. With seven players already under contract, the club will be extremely busy in the coming months assembling the rest of it as we head into the 2017 season.
Today’s MLS Expansion Priority Draft will determine which player acquistion methods Atlanta United will have priority in (hence the name). Will they get first pick in the MLS SuperDraft? Or the Expansion Draft?
A coin will be tossed to determine which team gets to choose first. The winner of the coin toss will in all likelihood possess priority in two of the three most desirable acquisition methods (SuperDraft, Expansion Draft, Allocation Order).
Above you can watch the even live. The stream goes live at 2:00 p.m., although we’re not sure exactly when the event will take place. Although we can assume it’ll take place before the 3:00 p.m. kickoff times.
