Chol, who turns 18 today, will graduate the U.S. Soccer Development Academy after this season. The Demon Deacons were crowned ACC Champions on Sunday after defeating Clemson in the tournament final.
Born in the Sudan, Chol is from Tucker, GA and is a regular contributor for the Atlanta United U18’s, starting seven matches so far this season. He has impressed with his one-on-one dribbling skills and creating chances. He also scored twice in Sunday’s match.
This is the second ACC commit from the club as fellow forward, Mike Ille, announced his commitment to Clemson in August.
Chol was one of a select group of Academy players to feature for the Charleston Battery in a friendly against the Nigerian Olympic team during their preparation for the summer games. It is obvious that the club rate him very highly and will be keeping a close eye on him while he is in the college ranks.
