Atlanta United announces Tata Martino’s staff

Seven staff members join the club

Atlanta United

Atlanta United announced today seven staff members to join Tata Martino’s staff. Assistant coaches Jorge Theiler and Dario Sala, goalkeeper coach Aron Hyde, fitness coaches Rodolfo Paladini and Manuel Alfaro, video analyst Damian Silvero and head of sports science Ryan Alexander will be joining Martino in Atlanta.

Martino said:

“We are very proud of the staff we have put together. It was important for me to have a combination of coaches who I’ve worked with and trust, as well as having coaches and technical staff who are familiar with the league. I’m very excited to work with this group.”

Theiler will lead the coaching staff as Martino’s top assistant. He has worked with Martino for years and previously managed Libertad and Cordoba. Sala has MLS experience as a player with FC Dallas, who he joined in 2010. He is also from Argentina. Hyde spent six seasons as a goalkeeper coach with the Chicago Fire and recently worked with the U.S. Soccer Federation.

The club has invested heavily on the sports science and performance side. Rodolfo Paladini and Manuel Alfaro are fitness coaches who have both worked with Martino before. Alexander will head up the new sports science department and has worked in that role with the U.S. men’s national team since 2015. Silvero recently worked with Martino at the Argentina national team as a video analyst.
