Mercedes-Benz Stadium adding new sponsorship and restaurant partners

Stadium could have $1B in sponsorship revenue ahead of opening

Mercedes-Benz Stadium’s launch is becoming one of the most successful in history. While Atlanta United will be getting into the stadium later than planned, the venue is shaping up to be among the best and richest in the world.

Sports Business Journal reported that, according to its sources, the stadium has surpassed $900 million in “contractually obligated sponsorship revenue” recently. The original sales goal for the stadium was $1 billion. Tim Tucker of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that some of the sponsorship revenue will go towards paying off long-term debt that the Atlanta Falcons organization took on to pay for the stadium.

In addition to title sponsor Mercedes-Benz, the stadium has deals in place with SunTrust, IBM, Equifax, Novelis, American Family Insurance, Home Depot, NCR, Coca-Cola, and Scana Energy.

Stadium officials also released a list of restaurant partners that will be in place when the stadium opens. Their pricing is supposed to be comparable to what is found in their non-stadium restaurants.
