Jones was injured in Trinidad and Tobago’s 2-0 loss at Martinique on October 11 in a Caribbean Cup qualifying match. A tackle left him unable to continue after 15 minutes and he left the field on crutches due to a lower right leg injury. It is unclear how fit he will be for next week’s matches.
Other MLS players in the squad include Aubrey David (FC Dallas), Cordell Cato (San Jose), and Joevin Jones (Seattle). Decatur High School graduate and Jacksonville Armada midfielder Kevan George will be part of the team for these matches, along with midfielder Neveal Hackshaw of the Charleston Battery.
Jones is currently on loan to Central FC in Trinidad and Tobago before joining Atlanta United for their inaugural training camp in January 2017.
