Yesterday we learned about Atlanta United’s plans to release their inaugural home kit exactly a week from today in a “block party” event in downtown Atlanta. Needless to say, if you aren’t excited by now it’s time to give up. The hype levels are extreme right now.
To hold you over until next Tuesday, I’d like to share with you one final kit concept. Over the past 16 months or so we’ve seen literally hundreds of kit concepts for MLS Atlanta/Atlanta United. One of our first posts ever was a Top 5 kit/logo designs post. Here’s our final one (at least for the home kit):
Hey @ATLUTD I made a concept kit for you guys based on rumours and leaks. Too bad you guys have such an ugly sponsor logo. #ATLUTD #Atlanta pic.twitter.com/MqAkymbvPb— Whitecapsish (@whitecapsish) November 6, 2016
A twitter user named Whitecapsish (a Whitecaps fan) posted this great mock up of what the actual home kit could look like off of rumors and news. Honestly, this design probably isn’t too far off of what will be unveiled next week. My only arguement would be the width of the red and black stripes. Perhaps they won’t be as thin. The club made a pretty big deal about the five stripes in its logo. Perhaps the five stripes will be represented on the kit? That’s just my pure speculation.
