Watch Andrew Carleton score a fantastic brace vs. Jamaica

He good.

Atlanta United’s first ever homegrown signing just so happens to be one of (if not) the best prospects U.S. Soccer’s youth level has to offer. Andrew Carleton is a star for the U.S. under-17’s and has been for some time and will be looking to do so for the expansion MLS club beginning in 2017.

During the most recent set of matches in Jamaica, Carleton did what he does best and scored twice in 4-0 win over the Reggae Boyz youth side. Here are the highlights of his brace:

The first goal was a phenomenal strike off the half volley from outside of the box. A goal you won’t see very often at any level. The second was a nice near-post run to get in front of the keeper and nod a cross home. While not a spectacular as the first, it showed some nice attacking instincts in the box.

He’s one of the most important players for this USA side. He’ll be hoping to have a similar impact for Atlanta United very soon.
