The Daily Dirt, December 2: Coming Home?

Atlanta United rumors starting to pop

MLS: New York City FC at Chicago Fire Mike DiNovo-USA TODAY Sports

Two Atlanta United rumors that you might have missed from yesterday:

Fabian Johnson: Even Steven Goff of the Washington Post seemed reluctant to go too deep into this one, but it appears that inquires have been made about Fabian Johnson’s interest in MLS and Atlanta.

Sean Johnson: This is one is far more likely, and something I’ve said is very possible once Atlanta hired Johnson’s former goalkeeper coach to their coaching staff. It can’t happen officially until the December 11 trade window opens, but all signs point towards a homecoming for the 27-year-old from Lilburn.

We’ll be talking about these and more in a special live edition of the Peachtree Post this morning at 10:00 a.m. Listen to the show at the link.
