Atlanta United got people talking yesterday with another one of their patented teases.

All signs are pointing to Miguel Almirón of Lanus as the signing, unless it’s going to be another player whose last name starts wit ALM...

Reportedly, Almirón has traveled to Atlanta to finalize terms of his deal with United. Lanus plays tomorrow night in the Primera División against Gimnasia La Plata at 7:15 p.m. It remains to be seen whether Almirón will be in uniform.

Last summer, reports had Almirón possibly headed to Arsenal, but he nearly ended up at Zenit St. Petersburg. With rumors having multiple potential suitors lining up in the winter transfer window, Atlanta appears to have acted decisively to beat them to his signature.
