2016 Copa America Centenario draw: United States draws Colombia, Costa Rica, Paraguay in Group A

The hosts hope to be the last ones standing when it's all said and done.

The draw for the Copa America Centenario was held on Sunday night at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, and the host United States have been grouped with Colombia, Costa Rica, and last year's fourth place team, Paraguay, in Group A.

While the Americans avoided being grouped with Argentina and Chile, the tournament's two highest ranked teams at 2nd and 5th - respectively - they come right out the gate facing a tough Colombia side on June 3 in Santa Clara. Costa Rica (June 7, Soldier Field in Chicago) and Paraguay (June 11, Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia) round out the group stage for the United States. The top two countries from each group advance to the knockout stage; the final will be held on June 26 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
