Welcome to your Soccer on TV open thread for Sunday, February 28th, 2016. Let's face it, news is pretty slow on the weekends. Most of us just want to watch games and get away from the daily grind of news and off-the-field drama. This is our attempt to give you a place to come and discuss the soccer games you watch during the weekend with some fellow soccer fans.
Each weekend we'll have new threads (Saturday and Sunday) highlighting the best games on TV. Then the floor is yours in the comments to chat, debate, joke, about whatever you'd like to. We'll be around throughout the day to chat right along with you.
Here are the top 3 games to watch on Saturday:
1. Capital One Cup Final: Liverpool vs. Manchester City (11:30 a.m. ET, beIN Sports, beIN Sports Connect)
It's a cup final between two of the most popular clubs in England. The struggling Liverpool versus the under-performing Manchester City. This is likely Liverpool's only chance at a trophy this season, so you can expect them to be going all-out in this one.
2. Manchester United vs. Arsenal (9:05 a.m. ET, NBC Sports Network, Live Extra)
Once one of the most bitter rivalries in Premier League history, United vs. Arsenal has become just another match-up between famous clubs. United under Louis van Gaal are have been disappointing all season long, while Arsenal have their best chance to win the Premier League since the Thierry Henry glory days. Who knows how this one will play out? It could be really exciting or extremely boring. It's worth a watch to find out.
3. Barcelona vs. Sevilla (beIN Sports en Español, beIN Sports Connect)
The Blaugrana are a must-watch any time they play. They have assembled possibly the greatest team the world has ever seen. Their 'MSN' attacking trio of Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr., and Luis Suarez will go down in history as the most prolific strike force in a long time.
