Georgia United
The Georgia United U-16s and U-18s were in action against the visiting Chargers Soccer Club and IMG Academy. The U-16s began the weekend with a 3-1 win over the Chargers. Cheik Fofana scored two goals and Eric Garcia added another. On Sunday, they lost to the IMG Academy, 2-1, with Jared McWhorter scoring United's lone goal. The U-18s went 2-0 over the weekend, taking down the Chargers on Saturday, 1-0, and IMG, 2-1, on Sunday. Patrick Okonkwo, Cal Jennings, and Diego Milessi scored for Georgia.
The U-14s travel to North Carolina next weekend to take on Capital Area Railhawks - CASL and North Carolina Fusion. The U-16s and U-18s return to action on April 2nd and 3rd, hosting the South Carolina Battery Academy.
Concorde Fire
The Concorde Fire U-16s and U-18s also played the IMG Academy and Chargers Soccer Club last weekend. The U-16s opened the weekend with a scoreless tie against IMG and followed it up with a 2-0 win over the Chargers. Cristian Rodriguez and Alejandro Chara Valencia came off the bench and scored. The U-18s beat IMG, 2-1, on Saturday with Roberto Arteaga scoring a brace in the victory. They were shut out in their second match of the weekend by CSC, 2-0.
All three Concorde Development Academy teams host the Carolina Rapids next Saturday at Georgia Soccer Park.
U.S. Youth National League
The final weekend of U.S. Youth Soccer National League play took place last weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Bettye Wilson Soccer Complex. The top four teams in each age group qualify for spots at the U.S. Youth National Championships in July.
In the U-14 age group, Concorde Fire Central Elite narrowly missed out on a spot at Nationals. They went winless over the weekend, finishing in third place in the Red Division, one point behind SLA Nomads. Concorde opened the weekend with a 3-0 loss to Valparaiso United FC JG of Arizona. They followed it up with a 2-1 loss to SLA Nomads (California - South). John Franks tied the match up in the 26th minute, but Diego Botello scored his second goal of the match in the 69th minute to put away the Fire. Concorde, needing a win in their final match, tied Solar Chelsea Red (Texas - North), 1-1. James Dunning scored for the Georgia club in the 21st minute.
At the U-15 level, neither Georgia team traveled to Vegas as both had already finished their National League slate. However, one qualified for nationals and the other narrowly missed out. United FA Premier finished first in the Blue Division with a 4-2-1 record and 13 points. Gol Soccer Academy Premier came in third in the Red Division, three points behind Sparta JK (Utah).
Both Georgia clubs in the U-16 group also did not travel to Nevada. Concorde Fire finished in third place in the Blue Division with 12 points, one behind the second place Fullerton Rangers White (California - South). United FA Premier found themselves in second place in the Red Division at the end of the weekend, qualifying for Nationals.
UFA-Norcross Fury Premier, representing Georgia at the U-18 level, went winless in Vegas. They dropped their first match to Santa Barbara SC White (California - South), 2-0, and followed it up with a 5-0 loss to FC Golden State Platinum (California - South). In their third match of the weekend and final National League match of the season, they fell to Baltimore Celtic (Maryland), 4-2. Josh Bronstorph, a Georgia Southern commit, scored two goals in the loss. UFA-Norcross finished in fifth place in the Red Division with nine points from seven matches.
SIMA Fab 50 High School Soccer Rankings
There are 11 Georgia High School teams ranked in this week's SIMA Fab 50. According to Sheldon Shealer of Top Drawer Soccer, Lassiter High School from Marietta made the biggest jump from 47th to 29th.

Jefferson Cup
The highly prestigious 2016 Jefferson Cup Boys Showcase took place last weekend hosted by the Richmond Strikers. Storm SA Black finished in second place in the U-16 Elite Division. Georgia was also represented in the U-13 Superior Group B and U-17 Championship flights by Storm SA Black and Concorde Fire Elite, respectively.
