The three Georgia United Development Academy teams traveled up to North Carolina to take on the Charlotte Soccer Academy at the OrthoCarolina Sportsplex and came away undefeated.
The U-14s started the day off with a 2-2 tie. Jackson Conway and Remi Smith scored for Georgia. The U-16s shut out Charlotte, 1-0. Jared McWhorter scored the match's lone goal. The U-18s won a tight 3-2 match with Munear Ibrahim contributing a brace and Diego Milessi adding a third.
The U-16s and U-18s are in action next weekend taking on Chargers Soccer Club (Saturday, March 12th) and IMG Academy (Sunday, March 13th) at Metro North Park. The U-14s travel to North Carolina the following weekend to play Capital Area Railhawks - CASL (Saturday, March 19th) and North Carolina Fusion (Sunday, March 20th).
adidas Blue Chip Showcase
Three Georgia teams were accepted into the showcase that will take place in Oxford, Ohio from April 22nd through the 24th. The tournament is run by the Kings Hammer Soccer Club and will have over 500 college coaches in attendance. The Darlington Soccer Academy U-15s, AFC Lightning Elite U-15s, and Darlington Academy U-18s were accepted. (via Soccer Wire)
