In-state rivals Georgia Revolution and Peachtree City MOBA meet for first time ever on Saturday

Georgia Revolution will be taking on cross-town side, Peachtree City MOBA, for the first time ever in a friendly at RYSA Soccerplex in Conyers, Saturday night at 7:00 PM.

This will be the Revolution's second friendly in preparation for the upcoming NPSL season this summer. The Revolution, in the first match under new ownership, won their first friendly 2-0 last week against Sandy Springs FC.

In November, Morrison Sports Management Group took control of the team from Rockdale Youth Soccer Association where they were founded in 2010. Home games will still take place at RYSA, but the club will be heading in a new direction, according to club Director of Marketing, Alec Morrison. "Now, we're looking to make it a lot more professional. We want a lot more fans out here," Morrison told Dirty South Soccer back in February.

For Peachtree City MOBA, this friendly will be in preparation for their inaugural season in PDL starting next month. MOBA will be playing their home games at Starr's Mill High School in Fayetteville while they wait on construction of their new facility.

So come on out and watch some Georgia soccer or follow me on Twitter for score updates. Tickets are only $10, or $7 online in advance. I'll be in attendance, so stop by and say hello!
