This is what it's like to see your team score a perfect match-winning free kick in the 90th minute

Is it 2017 yet?

We're still a good 11 months away from Atlanta United taking the field in a competitive match. While the days and weeks slowly tick down, we're left to live vicariously through other team's supporters.

The Philadelphia Union were really, really bad last season and most expected them to be again this season. However, through 5 games they have 9 points and sit atop the Eastern conference standings. Their third win of the season came tonight thanks to some late magic.

With their MLS match deadlocked at 1-1 with Orlando City, Philly's Tranquillo Barnetta had a free kick just outside the 18-yard box. What happened next was one of the best goals you'll see this week and possibly any other week as the Swiss international bent his shot over the Orlando wall and into the very top corner, off the crossbar, and into the net for the match-winner. A fan at PPL park captured the whole thing:

What a way to win the match for your team. Only 11 more months until we hopefully see something similar from an Atlanta United player.
