Atlanta Falcons' CEO, Rich McKay, addressed some rumors regarding the construction schedule of Mercedes-Benz Stadium Monday, saying, "Right now, we're confident in the completion date."

In recent weeks, across multiple Atlanta United and Atlanta Falcons forums, there have been many rumors circulating suggesting MBS would not be completed until much later in the MLS season. In some cases, the rumors mentioned the stadium not being completed before the end of the 2017 MLS season.

According to 11 Alive, the construction faced setbacks in the concrete pouring of the superstructure of the stadium. Crews were struggling to stay on pace with and potentially faced a serious delay in their timetable.

"We started to fall critically behind. We ended concrete ahead of schedule," McKay told reporters on Monday.

McKay also dispelled the rumor that the weight of the roof was an issue they were dealing with.

Arthur Blank also mentioned in his opening remarks Monday the stadium was still scheduled for a June opening.
