Atlanta Silverbacks
After a disappointing 2-0 loss in the first round of the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup last Wednesday, the Silverbacks recovered with a big 3-0 win in Conyers against local rivals Georgia Revolution. The win is a major statement for the Silverbacks as they enter NPSL regular season play.
Pedro Polaz, a 21 year old striker from Brazil, scored twice in the win over the Revolution. He went off injured later in the match after a collision with the goalkeeper, but Polaz is not expected to miss any time. Fellow Brazilian Joao Mora scored the opening goal in the match.
