Atlanta Youth Soccer Report

What's going down?

Georgia United

All three Georgia United teams took on the visiting Charlotte Soccer Academy at Summerour Middle School.

The U-14s tied Charlotte, 3-3. Jackson Conway scored twice and Brian Alcantar added one of his own.

The U-16s defeated Charlotte, 2-0, behind goals from Cheik Fofana and Jack Fitton. With the win they move into third place in the Southeast Division.

The U-18s tied Charlotte, 4-4. Junior Pineda and Chris Mikus each had a brace. They are in sixth place in the Southeast Division.

The U-16s and U-18s host Kendall SC and Weston FC next weekend at Metro North Park.

Concorde Fire

The three Concorde Development Academy teams traveled up to North Carolina to take on the Carolina Rapids.

The U-14s dropped a 2-0 decision. The U-16s fell, 3-0.

The U-18s managed a 1-1 tie, with Michael Ille scoring for Concorde.

The U-16s and U-18s also host Weston FC and Kendall SC next weekend at Georgia Soccer Park.

Georgia State Cup

Play-in games took place last weekend to determine final groups. Round robin group play is next weekend, with the final four taking place June 4th and 5th in Statesboro. Play-in results are listed below:

Lawrey is the Director of Coaching at the U-11 and U-12 level for the Richmond Strikers. According to his bio, he also works with Richmond United, U.S. Soccer id2, and Virginia Player Development Program.
