Georgia United

The Georgia United U-14s traveled to North Carolina to play two matches against Triangle Futbol Club Alliance at WakeMed Soccer Park.

They won the first match, 5-1, on Saturday. Jackson Conway netted a hat trick and Josiah Ortiz and Alejandro Lopez scored a goal each.

Georgia also beat Triangle on Sunday, 4-1. Conway scored two more goals and Brian Alcantar and Daniel Mangarov added to the lead.

The U-14s return to action on May 14th when they host the Carolina Rapids at Metro North Park.

UPDATE: The U-18s traveled to Bradenton, Florida to take on the U.S. U-17s who are currently in residency. There are four Georgia United players currently training in Florida (Carlos Asensio, Andrew Carleton, Chris Goslin, and Zyen Jones).

Georgia United tied the U.S. U-17s, 2-2. Goal scorers were not made available. (H/T Craig M.)

Concorde Fire

All three Concorde Development Academy teams hosted Charlotte Soccer Academy at Georgia Soccer Park.

The U-14s tied their match, 1-1, with Ryan Shanahan scoring.

The U-16s fell to Charlotte, 2-1. Alec Supinski scored Concorde's lone goal.

The U-18s also lost by a 2-1 margin with substitute Juan Rico scoring for the Fire.

The U-16s and U-18s travel to North Carolina next weekend to take on the North Carolina Fusion and Capital Area Railhawks - CASL.

U.S. U-16s

The United States under-16 national team advanced to the fifth place match at the 13th Tournament Delle Nazioni in Italy. Indiana Vassilev (Savannah, IMG Academy) was included in the roster and scored in the penalty shootout in the placement match against England after featuring in all three group play matches.

The USA Today released their spring high school soccer Top 20. There are six Georgia teams ranked.

5) Dalton High School (Dalton): 17-1-1

7) Lakeside High School (Atlanta): 19-0-0

10) Johnson High School (Gainesville): 17-0-1

14) Greenbrier High School (Evans): 16-0-2
