Georgia Revolution prepare for Birmingham Hammers in I-20 Cup

It's derby time!

Georgia Revolution will face their rivals from the NPSL Southeast Conference, Birmingham Hammers, in the first leg of the I-20 Cup this Saturday at RYSA Soccerplex in Conyers. Saturday's match will be the Revolution's last friendly before they start South Atlantic Conference play next week against in-state rivals, Atlanta Silverbacks. The away leg of the Cup will be on May 28th in Birmingham.

The Revolution are entering the derby in good form having defeated Sandy Springs FC 2-0 last week and beating Peachtree City MOBA 2-1 on Monday in a friendly.

Georgia Revolution will have to find a way to deal with the Hammers high-powered offense who put five goals past the Sandy Springs FC goalkeeper in a 5-2 friendly win last week.

The Revolution officially signed this week former Atlanta Silverbacks midfielder, Sajaad Delane, former University of Tampa midfielder Ahmed Sakiruden Olayode, and former Bradford City FC midfielder, Adam McCabe, who scored the game-winner against Peachtree City MOBA.

This match might be a friendly but the players will treat it as the rivalry it is. Kickoff is at 7:00 PM. You can buy tickets online in advance for $7 or $10 at the gate.
