The U-16s and U-18s hosted Kendall SC and Weston FC at Metro North Park.
The U-16s opened the weekend with a 1-0 loss to Kendall. On Sunday, stormed back from a three-goal deficit to defeat Weston, 5-3. Cheik Fofana had a brace, with Carlos Pineda, Luke Biasi, and Eric Garcia scoring a goal apiece. The U-16s are currently in third place in the Development Academy's Southeast Division with a 18-12-3 record.
The U-18s played Kendall to a scoreless tie. They beat Weston, 5-0. Call Jennings scored a hat trick, with Chris Mikus and Diego Milessi each adding a goal. They're currently in sixth place in the Southeast Division with a 17-11-5 record.
Concorde Fire
The Concorde Fire U-16s and U-18s also took on Kendall SC and Weston FC.
The U-16s opened their weekend with a 1-1 tie against Weston. The U-16s tied Kendall SC, 2-2. Clayton Dawes and Alejandro Chara Valencia scored in the draw.
The U-18s beat Weston, 1-0. The U-18s fell to Kendall, 3-2. Roberto Arteaga and Michael Ille scored in the loss.
All three Concorde Fire academy teams are in action next Saturday when they travel to Pineville, North Carolina to take on the Charlotte Soccer Academy at the OrthoCarolina Sportsplex.
United States U-15 national team
As reported by J.R. Eskilson of Top Drawer Soccer, the U.S. under-15 men's national team is heading to Croatia. George Bello, a defender from Douglasville who plays for the Alpharetta Ambush, is included on the roster.
Huge shakeup on youth scene
US Club Soccer and the Elite Clubs National League are forming a league for boys that will compete with the Development Academy. The Elite National Premier League will launch in August of 2017.
New club starting in Dalton
Dalton State College director of soccer Kerem Daser is starting the Correcaminos Futbol Academy. The club plans to have youth teams and possibly a National Premier Soccer League team in the future. Initial tryouts are next week.
Revolution Cup
Dacula Soccer Club hosted the 2016 edition of the Revolution Cup at Rabbit Hill, Bethesda Park, and Rhodes Jordan Park. Flight champions are listed below:
