The rumor mill is churning hard these days with Atlanta United being linked to multiple players at the moment. Last night, ESPN’s John Sutcliffe reported that Andres Guardado was “close” to joining MLS and Atlanta. With Mexico advancing to the Copa America Centenario quarterfinals, coverage of El Tri will only intensify so stay tuned for more news.

Hector “Tito” Villalba, a promising 21 year old Argentine winger, was linked to Atlanta United yesterday by his agent on the Fox Sports show 90 Minutos in Buenos Aires. Villalba has six months left on his contract at San Lorenzo. Atlanta does have some competition for Villalba’s services, with Boca Juniors and unnamed Mexican and European clubs interested.
