Development Academy Playoffs
The Georgia United U-16 and U-18 teams are playing in the Development Academy playoffs.
The U-16s take on the New England Revolution (June 22nd), the LA Galaxy (June 24th), and Sporting Kansas City (June 26th).
The U-18s play Crew SC Academy Wolves (June 22nd), Texas Rush (June 24th), and Nomads SC (June 26th).
The top team advances from each group to the knockout rounds.
Development Academy Showcase
The Georgia United U-14s are taking on Everton FC Westchester, the San Jose Earthquakes, and Sacramento Republic FC.
The Concorde Fire U-14s are taking on EBU Bay Oaks, FC Boston Bolts, and Solar Chelsea SC.
The Concorde Fire U-16s are taking on Empire United, Texans SC Houston, and FC Boston Bolts.
Region III Championships
The US Youth Soccer Region III Championships run from June 23rd through the 30th at the MeSA Youth Soccer Complex in Greenville, South Carolina. Champions advance to the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships which is held July 25th through the 31st at the Toyota Soccer Center in Frisco, Texas. Georgia teams ranked nationally
Top Drawer Soccer released their monthly Grande Sports TeamRank for the U-13, U-14, and U-15 age groups. Four Georgia teams are included in the rankings.
U-13: Concorde Fire North Elite (Atlanta) are ranked 22nd.
U-14: Georgia United (Atlanta) are ranked 10th.
U-15: United Futbol Academy Elite are ranked 2nd. GSA Premier (Lilburn) are ranked 6th.
Region III Presidents Cup
Georgia didn't book any spots in the National Presidents Cup, but a few teams came close. AFC Lightning Elite fell in the semifinals of the U-17 flight. GSA Chilpo FC lost, 2-1, in the semifinals of the U-15 flight. NASA Classic Premier lost in the semifinals of the U-13 flight.
Georgia took down Tennessee in a shootout to win the Tennessee-Georgia Boys' Soccer Classic at Chattanooga Finley Stadium.
