Both of Georgia United’s representatives at the US Soccer Development Academy playoffs lost their final group stage games yesterday and were eliminated from the tournament.

The U16’s lost 3-1 to Sporting Kansas City. Future Atlanta United U18 player Cheik Fofana added his fourth goal of the weekend to lead the team in scoring.

The U18’s lost 3-2 to Nomads SC from San Diego. Christopher Goslin and Patrick Okonkwo scored Georgia’s goals.

This concludes an amazing run for the club as their U16 and U18 spots in the US Soccer Development Academy will be absorbed by Atlanta United next season. Georgia United will continue to have teams in the U13 and U14 age groups in the 2016-17 season.
