While the Copa America Centenario is in his gear in the United States, there's also another major international tournament set to kick off on friday. The UEFA European Championship will begin in France pitting 24 of the best countries against each other to crown a champion of Europe.
If you're a big follower of all the big European leagues such as the English Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A, La Liga, or Ligue 1, you're likely to recognize almost every player in the tournament. That's what always makes the Euros so much fun to watch. The biggest stars on the planet along with most of the other stars from around the big domestic leagues all in one place.
Spain are the defending champions of this tournament. They won it in 2012 but have undergone a sever transition since their glory years. Just to give you an understanding of how much they'd changed, Fernando Torres was the Golden Boot winner of that tournament. He's since gone on to become an internet meme as one of the worst strikers in the world (which is totally unfair, but it's what they say).
As with any major tournament, it's customary to give predictions. Here's who our staff thinks will win the tournament, the Golden Boot, and are the dark horses. Let us know in the comments who your picks are.
