The Daily Dirt, July 1: People Get Ready

Soccer: Mexican National Team-Paraguay vs Mexico Shanna Lockwood-USA TODAY Sports

As we’re seeing with the start of the NBA’s free agency period and the multitude of rumors and possibilities floating around the Hawks, get ready for some conflicting rumors and overall confusion when it comes to the MLS transfer window opening next week.

There are rumors on the board about Andres Guardado and Hector Villalba. There are other player who have been mentioned in connection to Atlanta United as well. This will continue, will expand, and will become more non-sensical. Get used to it and enjoy the ride.

Get ready to see Atlanta United pop up in trade talks within the league too. New York City FC used trades in the summer of 2014 to add to their depth as they prepared for their first season. There are players within MLS who are either stuck behind someone else on the depth chart, need a change of scenery, or are just undervalued by their current club that would make for great additions in Atlanta.

The fun begins next week, get ready...
