It’s amazing a team with only seven players, no head coach and an unrevealed kit has been able to accumulate such a following, especially when compared to other cities with more of a professional soccer history. Atlanta United is now ranked 15th among MLS team twitter accounts, a pool which includes LAFC and Minnesota United.
Atlanta sits above FC Dallas, Chicago Fire, Real Salt Lake, Philadelphia Union, New England Revolution, Colorado Rapids, LAFC and Minnesota United.
Once a manager is hired and a kit is unveiled, you can probably expect the number of followers to rise substantially. The teams early following is a testament to their work on social media and within the Atlanta soccer community.
Congratulations, Atlanta United!
