Hector Villalba completely focused on Xolos until loan is up

@12tuitter

On Saturday, Hector “Tito” Villalba made his debut for Club Tijuana in the 2-1 win over Cruz Azul that takes Xolos to the top of the Apertura table on goal difference. Even though he only played a few minutes, coming on in the 83rd minute, he was able to showcase some of the speed he is known for by blowing past a defender and making a break down the center of the field.

On Tuesday, Villalba spoke to the press and commented on his loan stay at Xolos. “I come here to contribute and add minutes, give the team what I can to make it better.”

He went on to say he is not thinking about Atlanta United right now and is instead focusing on Xolos. This is the kind of mentality we want to see from Tito. Though admittedly the only reason I care about Xolos is Villalba, the fact he is focusing on his development, committing his best, and respecting his time at Xolos is a sign of a true professional.

Next, Tijuana play Leon on Friday at 10:00 PM where we hope Villalba picks up some more minutes. We’ll have all the action and reaction for you right here.
