Atlanta United Loan Watch Preview: Villalba and Battery loanees on tap for the weekend

Villalba could get his second appearance for Xolos tonight.

Chris McCann - Coventry City - League One

Coventry City vs Shrewsbury - Saturday, August 13 at 10 a.m. EST

Coventry City faces Shrewsbury in their second League One match of the season. McCann is still serving a suspension for the first three matches due to a red card given in the final match of last season.

Tito Villalba - Club Tijuana - Liga MX

Club Tijuana vs Leon - Friday, August 12 at 10 p.m. EST

Villalba looks to make his second appearance with the Xolos as they face Leon in their fifth Liga MX match of the season. Look for Villalba to come off the bench again as he's probably still not completely match fit nor fully comfortable with the system Miguel Herrera has established with Tijuana. Villalba said this week that he's completely focused on competing and finding success with Xolos. You can watch this match through Azteca America.

Kenwyne Jones - Central FC - TT Pro League

Central FC vs Sporting Kansas City - Tuesday, August 16 at 8 p.m. EST - CONCACAF Champions League

Central FC's next match comes against Sporting Kansas City in the second match of CONCACAF Champions League group play Tuesday, August 16. Jones wasn't available for the club's first CCL match due to a hold up with his loan from Atlanta United. All should be squared away by the 16th and hopefully allows for AUFC fans to get their first look at Jones playing against MLS talent. This match will be available on Univision Deportes.

Junior Burgos - Tampa Bay Rowdies - NASL

Tampa Bay Rowdies at Ft. Lauderdale Strikers - Saturday, August 13 at 7:00 p.m. ET

Junior Burgos hasn't gotten much playing time this season. Burgos didn't see the field in the Rowdies last match against the For Lauderdale Strikers, but perhaps that'll change in this one. You can watch this match through FuboTV, NASL Live or One World Sports.

Alex Tambakis & Jeffery Otoo - Charleston Battery - USL

Charleston Battery vs FC Montreal - Saturday, August 13 at 7:30 p.m. EST

The Charleston Battery don't play another match until August 13, giving the club a much needed rest after three games in a matter of 10 days. Otoo made the 18-man roster for the first time in the Battery's most recent match against the Charlotte Independence. His delay has been attributed to his lack of match fitness, but now that he's cracked the 18 he is expected to get his first minutes as a Battery player soon.

Alex Tambakis has been in-and-out of the lineup throughout the season, splitting time with Odisnel Cooper. That trend should continue as the Greek keeper continues to develop ahead of Atlanta United's inaugural season.

This match will be made available on Youtube.

Andrew Carleton - Charleston Battery & USYNT

Carleton is currently training with the academy team to complete his Homegrown requirements. He's also training with the U.S. youth national team.
