This afternoon, Atlanta United owner Arthur Blank spoke to the Atlanta Press Club about the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Falcons, and United.
Blank stressed that Atlanta United “couldn’t be in a better place.” The club has over 31,000 season ticket deposits, which is a best ever mark for Major League Soccer. He accentuated the international nature of the club’s signings so far to the assembled audience.

He also said that the club is looking at several coaching candidates with a hire forthcoming this summer or early fall.
Blank stressed that he is still committed to the June 2017 opening date for Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

During the luncheon at the Commerce Club, Blank also discussed other topics related to his career and what he values for the Falcons and United.

Another topic was his commitment to the Westside neighborhoods near Mercedes-Benz Stadium. He reiterated that his foundation will have a 20 year commitment to the Vine City and English Avenue communities.
