Atlanta United Loan Watch: Chris McCann and Coventry had a rough week

The League One side lost two straight and were bounced out of League Cup in embarrassing fashion.

Chris McCann - Coventry City - League One

Bradford City 3, Coventry City 1

Chris McCann got the start in a loss to Bradford City. Coventry took the lead early but squandered it after having a man sent off for a straight-red tackle inside the box. Bradford City dominated the second half and earned the victory.

Norwich City 6, Coventry City 1

Coventry City suffered an "embarrassing" defeat Tuesday in their Football League Cup second round match up against Norwich City. Coventry City's lone goal came off a penalty kick while the result drew boos from the Sky Blue faithful.

Tito Villalba - Club Tijuana - Liga MX

Tijuana 1, Lobos BUAP 1

Villalba got his first taste of Copa MX action last week, getting the start for Xolos against Lobos. Villalba didn't look overly impressive and was subbed off in the 70th minute.

Tijuana 1, Necaxa 1

As expected, Villalba didn't start against Necaxa after his midweek appearance in Tijuana's Copa MX match. Expect him to come off the bench for Xolos' next contest.

Kenwyne Jones - Central FC - TT Pro League

Central FC 2, Sporting Kansas City 2

The T&T Pro League is still in it's preseason training camp, but Kenwyne did score in CONCACAF Champions League competition. Jones should've had two goals, but a header was disallowed after the official felt his impact with the goalkeeper was a foul.

Junior Burgos - Tampa Bay Rowdies - NASL

Tampa Bay Rowdies 0, Minnesota United 2
Tampa Bay Rowdies 0, FC Edmonton 1

Burgos didn't make it off the bench in either match last week. Tampa Bay also couldn't manage a goal in either game.

Alex Tambakis, Andrew Carleton, Chris Goslin, & Jeffrey Otoo - Charleston Battery - USL

Charleston Battery 1, Wilmington Hammerheads 1

Tambakis started the match in goal for the Battery, while Otoo made the team sheet, but never came off the bench. Tambakis conceded a well-taken set-piece goal about 25 yards outs. Andrew Carleton and Chris Goslin are on international duty with the U.S. U-17’s.
