Atlanta United Loan Watch Preview: Villalba in action tonight

Most Atlanta United loanees should see the field this weekend

Chris McCann - Coventry City - League One

Coventry City vs Northampton Town - Saturday, August 27 at 10 a.m. EST

Coventry City looks to rebound after two disappointing losses by a combined 9-2. Northampton look to improve on their recent victory over West Bromwich Albion. Chris McCann has started the last two matches and seems to be a fixture on the squad moving forward.

Tito Villalba - Club Tijuana - Liga MX

Club Tijuana vs Puma UNAM - Friday, August 26 at 10 p.m. EST

After sitting out Club Tijuana’s last match, Villalba hopes to make another appearance for the Xolos. Villalba was subbed off in the 70th minutes in Copa MX action last week, and didn’t look particularly good in his appearance. The match will be available to those with a subscription to Azteca America.

Kenwyne Jones - Central FC - TT Pro League

Central FC vs Sporting Kansas City - Tuesday, September 28 at 10 p.m. EST - CONCACAF Champions League

Central FC's next match is still more than a month away. They’ll face Sporting Kansas City in the third match of CONCACAF Champions League group play. Jones scored in his Central FC debut the previous CCL match for the club. Jones was dominant throughout the match and was a pleasant sight for all those waiting for the 2017 MLS season. This match will be available on Facebook.

Junior Burgos - Tampa Bay Rowdies - NASL

Tampa Bay Rowdies vs Rayo OKC - Saturday, August 27 at 7:30 p.m. ET

Junior Burgos hasn't gotten much playing time this season. Burgos didn't see the field in the Rowdies last match against FC Edmonton, but perhaps that'll change this weekend. You can watch this match on BeIN Sports.

Alex Tambakis & Jeffery Otoo - Charleston Battery - USL

Charleston Battery vs Charlotte Independence - Saturday, August 27 at 7:30 p.m. EST

The Charleston Battery have only recorded one win in the last six matches and have fallen to seventh in the Eastern Conference standings. While the Battery aren’t in jeopardy of falling out of a playoff spot, it would behoove them to go on a good run heading into the playoffs.

Alex Tambakis has been in-and-out of the lineup throughout the season, but started in the draw against the Wilmington Hammerheads. Tambakis has started the last two matches so expect to see Odisnel Cooper in goal. Otoo probably won’t start, but should make the team sheet and could possibly come off the bench. This match will be made available on Youtube.

Andrew Carleton - Charleston Battery & USYNT

Carleton is partaking in the Torneo De Naciones in Mexico with the U17 USMNT alongside Atlanta United academy player, Chris Goslin. Carleton scored twice yesterday in the U17 USMNT opening match against Portugal. The U17 USMNT faces Qatar on Friday, August 26.
