Atlanta United owner Arthur Blank appeared on 92.9 The Game on Thursday to discuss both the Falcons and United. He spoke about the progress the team has made so far and stated that he's extremely pleased with how the club has integrated into the community still with eight months left until their first match.

He had high praise for the soccer team's front office and even said it rivals that of what the Falcons have running their franchise.

Arthur Blank on 92.9 The Game:

"Our leadership with the soccer franchise is as good as it is with the Falcons franchise."

He touched on the ticket sales so far and had extremely encouraging things to say. A team spokesperson told Dirty South Soccer that the 31,000+ season ticket deposits are a record for an MLS expansion franchise. The team plans on announcing official season ticket sales numbers soon.

"We feel real good about our reserve base coming up. We continue to sell," Blank said. "We haven't even named our head coach yet. We continue to recruit players."

The excitement around Atlanta United is obvious and will only continue to grow as March 2017 (June is likely to be the first home match) gets closer. Better grab some season tickets while there's still some to be had.
