Chris McCann - Coventry City - League One
Swindon Town vs Coventry City - Saturday, August 6 at 10 a.m. EST
Coventry faces Swindon Town in their opening match to kick off the League One season. McCann is suspended for the first three matches of the Coventry City season due to a red card given in the final match of last season.
Tito Villalba - Club Tijuana - Liga MX
Cruz Azul vs Club Tijuana - Saturday, August 6 at 6 p.m. EST
Wonder why it took so long for Atlanta United to announce Villalba's loan to Xolos? Tijuana was waiting on the receipt of Villalba's International Transfer Certificate, making the loan official. Now that Tijuana has received it, the 22-year-old Argentine is eligible for Xolos' next match against Cruz Azul on Saturday, August 6. AUFC supporters should be watching in hopes of seeing Atlanta's first Young Designated Player come off the bench in this match. Because he's so fresh to the team, it's highly doubtful Villalba starts this match.
Kenwyne Jones - Central FC - TT Pro League
Central FC vs Sporting Kansas City - Tuesday, August 16 at 8 p.m. EST - CONCACAF Champions League
Central FC's next match comes against Sporting Kansas City in the second match of CONCACAF Champions League group play Tuesday, August 16. Jones wasn't available for the club's first CCL match due to a hold up with his loan from Atlanta United. All should be squared away by the 16th and hopefully allows for AUFC fans to get their first look at Jones playing against MLS talent.
Junior Burgos - Tampa Bay Rowdies - NASL
Tampa Bay Rowdies vs. Ft. Lauderdale Strikers - Saturday, August 6 at 7:30 p.m. ET
Junior Burgos hasn't gotten much playing time this season. Perhaps that'll change in this one. You can see the match live on beIN Sports.
Alex Tambakis & Jeffery Otoo - Charleston Battery - USL
Charleston Battery vs FC Montreal - Saturday, August 13 at 7:30 p.m. EST
The Charleston Battery don't play another match until August 13, giving the club a much needed rest after three games in a matter of 10 days. Otoo made the 18-man roster for the first time in the Battery's most recent match against the Charlotte Independence. His delay has been attributed to his lack of match fitness, but now that he's cracked the 18 he is expected to get his first minutes as a Battery player soon.
Alex Tambakis has been in-and-out of the lineup throughout the season, splitting time with Odisnel Cooper. That trend should continue as the Greek keeper continues to develop ahead of Atlanta United's inaugural season.
Andrew Carleton - Charleston Battery & USYNT
Carleton is currently training with the academy team to complete his Homegrown requirements. He's also training with the U.S. youth national team.
