Watch Andrew Carleton’s first start for Charleston Battery

Here it is

Last night, Atlanta United’s first ever Homegrown player, Andrew Carleton, became the youngest player to ever start a competitive match for the Charleston Battery. Not only that, he’s the youngest American to start a match in the entire USL. Quite the moment for the 16-year-old.

While we don’t want to spoil every moment, Carleton put on a good performance in his full debut for the club. You can watch the whole match below:

Carleton wasn’t the only Atlanta United player to show well in the match, either. Both Alexander Tambakis and Jeffrey Otoo played significant moments, as well. They all had some very bright moments in the match. While we’re still about six months away from seeing Atlanta play in a real match, this is about as close as you’ll get to real Atlanta United action until the preseason begins.
