Getting prepared

I saw a tweet on Saturday night that said the Portland Timbers only have five league matches remaining. That shocked me at first then a feeling of excitement rushed over me. This MLS season is rapidly coming to an end. With only about a month and a half remaining, it’s just about finished.

Which means we’re getting dangerously close to start of Atlanta United news furiously pouring in. While we anxiously await news of a manager hiring and the home kit release, as soon as MLS Cup is over, the club will ramp up their efforts to build their inaugural roster.

We don’t know the exact dates of anything yet, but history tells us that less than a week after MLS Cup is lifted, the Expansion Draft will be held and the journey to 2017 will truly begin.

To prepare for this influx of news, DSS will begin the process of searching for new contributors. Tomorrow morning we’ll be posting exactly what we’re looking for. If you’re an aspiring writer and would like to help us get Atlanta United news, info, and opinions to the masses, keep an eye out for our application.
