Atlanta United’s academy teams at the U13 and U14 age groups maintained their undefeated records over the weekend with two wins over the Traingle Futbol Club Alliance. The U13 team won 3-1 while the U14’s won 2-0. Both games were played at Kennesaw State University’s Marietta campus.
Coach Mike Lynch’s U13 squad improved their record to 2-0-1 in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy campaign. The U14’s drew their first two games earlier this month, but notched their first win of the season on Saturday.
The U12’s played Concorde Fire on Saturday, but results have not been posted yet.
U16 academy players Kendall Edwards and Blake White are currently representing Jamaica at the U17 Caribbean Cup in Trinidad and Tobago. Edwards scored in Jamaica’s 6-2 win over Bermuda. Jamaica drew 0-0 with Haiti in their second match and face Trinidad and Tobago on Tuesday. Thanks to our friends over at ATLUTD Prospects for this update.
Next weekend is a busy one for the academy, with the U16 and U18 teams hosting their first games at Pace Academy. On Saturday, both will face Chargers Soccer Club of Clearwater, FL. IMG Academy of Bradenton will provide the opposition on Sunday.

A large crowd is expected for Saturday’s games and capacity is limited. Seating will be general admission, so arrive early. Atlanta United is encouraging fans to come early, tailgate, and make some noise for their senior academy teams’ first local games.
Kickoff for the Saturday’s games are 1:00 p.m. for the U18’s and 3:00 p.m. for the U16’s. On Sunday, game times are 10:00 a.m. for the U18’s and 12:30 p.m. for the U16’s.
The U12’s are also in action this weekend, with games on Saturday against Lanier Soccer Association and on Sunday against UFA. Kickoff times are 10:00 a.m. for both days and the games will be played at Kennesaw State University’s Marietta campus.
