It appears as if Gerardo “Tata” Martino has made up his mind over his coaching future. Last night it was reported by ESPN Deportes’ John Sutcliffe that Club America had contacted Martino in regards to their newly vacant manager job.
AS English reports today that the Argentinian turned down the Liga MX side because he has his sights set on the Atlanta United job. He’s said to be close to an agreement with United and that he’s already tweaked his coaching staff to fit the move.
This saga could be coming to an end very soon if Martino wouldn’t even consider an offer from Club America. They can offer big money and a high profile job, but he’s apparently ready to take on the responsibility of becoming Atlanta United’s first ever manager.
Every report and rumor has Martino just a signature away from the job. Now it looks like it’s just a matter of when and not if. Stay tuned...
