Martinez has nine goals in 37 appearances for the Vino Tinto of Venezuela. His best season as a professional was in 2012-13 with Young Boys in Switzerland where he scored 19 goals in 20 overall appearances. He joined Torino ahead of the 2014-15 season and has 13 goals in 76 appearances with the club. So far this season, he has scored twice in thirteen games.
As a player who can play as a second striker or a left winger, he would be an ideal fit for Atlanta United. He could take some of the scoring pressure off of Kenwyne Jones. This is still the early stages of this rumor, but stay tuned for more. We will keep you posted.
