History has been made on Thursday as Bruce Arena has called up Atlanta United’s Greg Garza to the USMNT’s annual January training camp. This is the first time a player representing the club has been called up to the United State men’s national team.
The fullback joined the club in December on loan from Club Tijuana and has nine career USMNT caps already.
Garza joins 31 other MLS-based players in the all-domestic roster for the training camp and two friendlies against Serbia and Jamaica at the end of the month.
This is a big moment for the club and an answer to a trivia question in a few years. Congrats, Greg! Do us proud.
