ATLUTD vs. Crew, MLS Cup Playoffs: Match Thread & TV Guide

LET THE PLAYOFF FEVER WASH OVER YOU.

MLS: Toronto FC at Atlanta United FC Adam Hagy-USA TODAY Sports

The playoffs are here. This isn’t a dream, this is really happening. What an inaugural season it’s been for Atlanta United and it’s not over quite yet. The Columbus Crew are here to try and end this wonderful journey. It’s up to Tata Martino and the Five Stripes to make sure that doesn’t happen.

Atlanta did the double over Columbus in the regular season, including a convincing 4-1 win at Bobby Dodd Stadium. That means very little now, though. Atlanta had a less than convincing ending to the season, going four straight without a win. Meanwhile, the Crew ended the season on a 10-game unbeaten run.

The talent and home-field obviously leans heavily towards Atlanta’s side, but the current form is in Columbus’ favor. It won’t be easy, but nothing ever is in the playoffs. Will this fabulous season ride on or will the Crew send Atlanta into the offseason? It’s literally do or die time. This is what it’s all about.
