Greg Garza injury updated; expected to miss four to six weeks

You’re not gonna like this

MLS: FC Dallas at Atlanta United FC Adam Hagy-USA TODAY Sports

Atlanta United have announced today that Greg Garza will miss four to six weeks with a left hamstring injury. The Atlanta United left back was subbed out early on the road in New England after just 27 minutes on the pitch.

Garza has appeared in 26 games this season scoring two goals with five assists. He has been a very effective piece on one of the top MLS offensive attacks. The game in New England was his first match starting since recovering from another injury. Garza also suffered a dislocated shoulder during the MLS All-Star Game earlier this year.

Expect Chris McCann and Mikey Ambrose to fill his spot in the lineup for the rest of the regular season at least. The earliest he could comeback would be around the first leg of the Eastern conference semi-finals. Other options? Maybe a formation change from Tata to play with three in the back? We will have to wait and see.
