The season may be over for the Five Stripes but they can still win some silverware after being recognized for their amazing inaugural season.

Major League Soccer announced today the finalists for the 2017 End of Year Awards. Atlanta United is going to be well represented with five finalists, the most of any club, including Most Valuable Player finalist Miguel Almirón.

Almirón should win at least one award, having been the centerpiece of one of the best attacks in MLS history. The Paraguayan midfielder contributed with nine goals and a team-high 14 assists.

Tata Martino is up for Coach of the Year for leading Atlanta to become the only fourth expansion team in MLS history to make the postseason. In his first season in the MLS, the former Barcelona manager guided his side to the fourth-best goal difference (+30) and the fifth-most goals scored (70) in league history.

Almirón and Josef Martinez, who missed half of the season and still scored 19 goals, are both up for Newcomer of the Year. While Julian Gressel, who had 5 goals and led all rookies with 9 assists, is up for AT&T Rookie of the Year.
